For Christmas this year, experience unique lots from our partner producers in India, Rwanda, Uganda and Thailand.

Here, we are showcasing a diverse range of characters and flavours from four smaller coffee producing countries, including a limited lot from Rwanda and a very rare lot from Thailand.

This curation contains 4 different coffees, 250g of each. Two of the coffees are exclusive to this pack.

Sirinya, Thailand

It’s a rare opportunity to have access to high quality coffees from Thailand, so we feel privileged to have a small amount of this lot from the Chaosuwanwilai family. We were taken by the well structured cup profile, being layered and complex.

The family have used an innovative method of honey processing using local yeast to manipulate the PH level, helping to better control the level of microbes during fermentation.

Their processing has encouraged a clear layered cherry like sweetness and the quality of this lot is unlike any other from Thailand we have tasted.

Ratnagiri, India

We’re fortunate to be working with Ashok Patre’s Ratnagiri again after enjoying his anaerobic natural last harvest. This time we have selected his very sophisticated honey processed Catuai and we’re enjoying a sparkling acidity, honey and pomegranate like sweetness.

Ratnagiri was established in 1920 and is owned and operated by Ashok, having been passed down from his Grandfather, to father to son. Ashok’s progressive approach to coffee processing is developing him a reputation amongst the coffee industry for some of the most consistent quality coffees out of India.

Bujuku Valley, Uganda

This particular lot stood out to us at the roastery for its layered and deep character, and also it’s sweet chocolate flavours. We purchased a small amount through our partners Covoya, who have been working out in Uganda for many years now.

Ugandan coffee farmers have faced incredible difficulties over the past 40 years, as has much of the country. It’s encouraging to see high quality lots such as this becoming more consistent each year and we’re excited to continue our partnership with smallholders here in the future.

Shyira, Rwanda

In Rwanda, we work alongside Raw Material, who work with Muraho Trading Co. Shyira is one of a few washing stations operated by Muraho Trading Co. We have had some outstanding lots from its local smallholders this year, this washed anaerobic lot is no exception.

Our partners Raw Material have spent many years at Shyira washing station, improving quality and consistency with every harvest. We were drawn to this lot’s clarity of fruit and bright acidity, hinting at a classic washed Rwandan whilst boasting more depth and complexity from the anaerobic fermentation.
