Introducing Los Rodriguez Family.

Los Rodriguez Family farms produce, process and export all the harvest produced. This Red Caturra comes from a plot on one of Los Rodriguez family farms in-between wild forest and native trees, to provide shade and maintain biodiversity. The Caranavi region boasts fertile soil and a unique dual climate making it well suited for coffee cultivation.

This natural from Bolivia appealed to us for its fragrant red apple and rich vanilla.

The Producer

Los Rodriguez Family farms produce, process and export all the harvest produced. The area boasts fertile soil and a unique dual climate, making it well suited for quality coffee cultivation.

This Red Caturra has been harvested and taken to the Buena Vista mill on the same day. After the cherries are washed and floated they are moved directly to raised beds for 3-4 days to dry, the mechanical driers replicate day/night cycle. The family is firmly invested in cutting-edge research, including innovative grafting techniques and trialling over 50 different varieties.

Ripe cherries are dried whole commonly on patio’s, drying beds or even the bare earth allowing the bean to ferment naturally encased by its fruit.

Once the cherries resemble raisins and the target parameters are met the coffee is hulled and sorted in the dry mill.
