Our refreshed subscription takes its name from the Scots Gaelic word Solasta, meaning bright and shining. It reflects the character of the coffees we highlight each month.
Coffee 1 – Haru, Ethiopia (Natural)
Our first selection is a natural from Haru washing station in Ethiopia.
Haru sits within one of Ethiopia’s most established coffee-growing regions, where generations of farmers have carefully selected trees that perform best in their local conditions.
Over time, this has shaped varieties that are closely tied to the landscape, with 74112 being the dominant selection here.
In the cup, there are notes of honey and blueberry, with a complex, boozy depth.
